Spring clean your home with these easy and helpful tips
In April, everybody's minds are usually on spring cleaning up the house and stressing over when they can find the time to do so with their busy schedules!
While this is a good time to start tidying up, there is no sense in making the process daunting! Consider using this time as a way to not only spring clean the house, but also as a way to clear your mind!
By implementing the helpful tips below, you can achieve a spick-and-span home and a clear head all at the same time!

Tip #1: First Things First
You undoubtedly have a lot of things piled high in your mind regarding what you need to get done. Carrying so much around in your mind day after day can weigh heavily on your conscious and stress levels. The best way to beat this is to write it all down! Making a checklist is a helpful way to organise your brain right on paper, and doing so will help to clear your mind. Everyone has their own style when it comes to making lists. You could try to write your list based on:
importance of the tasks
timeliness (what needs to get done first/last)
categories of the different tasks
even your desire to complete the jobs!
Regardless of how you make your to-do list, the satisfactory feeling that comes with crossing or checking off an item is universal!
Tip#2: Don't Do it All at Once
Now that you have everything arranged in a nice list, avoid the urge to do it all in one day. This is just asking for a headache and heavy heart when you realize you won't be able to realistically finish it all!
Space out your time and assign different tasks to different days. You could even make a Spring Cleaning Calendar! Doing a little bit each day, or over the course of a few days, will allow you to feel accomplished without being overwhelmed! Remember it's Spring cleaning, you have a month or two!
Tip #3: Eliminate the Clutter!
Having trouble getting into the kitchen closet because everything seems to be overflowing? Having to deal with a messy environment, or getting annoyed every time you have to go into the closet can be causing you unnecessary anxiety!
Take the time to go through these cluttered spaces and get rid of any unnecessary items, or simply organise a bit! You'll thank yourself in the future when you no longer have to look at the 20 pairs of shoes thrown haphazardly around the front door!

Tip #4: Don't Forget to Go Through your Toiletries!
The house isn't the only thing that needs to be spring cleaned! Remember to go through the less obvious items in your home such as your makeup and toiletry products. Many items are unhealthy to use after a certain time period, and should therefore be discarded!
Mascara: 3 months
Eyeliner: 6 months
Concealer: 6-12 months
Lipgloss: 18 months
Lipstick: 24 months
Eyeshadow: 24 months
Wash your applicators/brushes every few weeks!
